I went grocery shopping this afternoon. Ron worked overtime and I get out at 2:30 so it was up to me. I went to a small natural foods grocery store and got what I could there. Sped down to the supermarket for the remaining, whilst keeping with the organic theme. The whole time saying to myself "we are an organic household or at least try our best to be, and at least we eat well". I get home unload the healthy groceries then cut myself a hunk of the left over (delicious) baby shower cake! Talk about contradictions!
gotta go knit!

NO PARTICULAR ORDER
Ok folks, it is obvious that I am not so good at keeping up with this blog thing. I do want it to be known that I journal daily the old fashioned way.
Today was a relatively good day. Ended nicely began shitty.
To begin the day....
Crazy shit going on at work. I will not bore you with details, just unfair management bullshit. Enough said
So those of you who work in child care know that like most schools June is a time for transition. However, Unlike grade school where school is OUT for summer we are open throughout the summe. In return, it is a big transition time. Lets just name a few of these infamous transitions we all know and love ( as children adjust fabulously to transitions!)
1) children leaving the center for the summer
2) children moving to a brand spanking new classroom
3) children leaving the center all together and....
d) the ever stable turnover rate that all child care centers experience (can you hear the scarcism people)
Lets also add that the teachers have already checked out!
Not only are these transitions underway but we had a bright, big full moon this week along with the summer solstice and believe what you want but man, when the moon and the sun get together they can do some damage. Someone needs to do research on children and the phases of the moon because it truly effects them. So lets just say the children have been a wee bit difficult.
On top of all this Ron has been miserable his eyes have been hurting and we have not had much time for each other this week. I am scared something is wrong (really wrong) with his eyes. YIKES
Despite all of this, we had a gathering with all the parents and children in celebration of the last day of session. And call me a nerd but I LOVE those things....We rarely get to socialize with parents and I just love to see them outside of the pick up and drop off routine. I got to hang out with some families I used to have in my room (and I must admit favorites) and mingle with some newbies for the summer. All in all successful and fun evening.
Off topic but in keeping with the new theme of the Blog some aspirations.....Taken directly from Le journal de Jessica ( in the most smashing French accent)
