Two Peas in a Pod - Well Kinda

Ollie and his cousin Cora are almost exactly one month apart. Since they were born we always joked that they were opposite babies. Cora was a big, plump, 9 pound newborn. Ollie, a scrawny, 6 pound, pre-term baby. And they grew to be opposite in infancy - Ollie a chunka-monka and Cora a little elfish baby (actually, we called her Toothy Yoda Baby - endearingly of course). It always seemed that what one was doing the other wasn't. Cora slept well one night, Ollie was awake all night. Ollie pooped ten times in one day, Cora hadn't pooped in three days.....You get the idea.

Lately, however, they have been at a compatible stage of play and development (Ollie has broken out with his language). Cora has been (and still is) the true definition of precocious, while Ollie liked to play and explore at his own speed. Today I observed them together, engaging in the same kind of play, talking together, and SHARING snacks without adult encouragement. I left the room for a second and when I came back they were playing a game:

Cora: Are you Noni?
Ollie: Nooooo ....
giggles
C: Are you waterbottle?
O: Noooo.....
giggles
and so on....
